About this course

“Our self defence fitness qualification is the first realistic program to stimulate the autonomic nervous system and body’s functions through exercise that replicates the reality of street violence whilst teaching self defence concepts in a fun way”.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Many fitness classes that focus on martial arts teach to kick and punch in repetition thus to stimulate the cardiovascular system and hopefully the adaption to become fitter. However, these classes don’t prepare you for the reality of street violence.

During any confrontation your physiology will increase your sympathetic nervous system and thus accelerate respiration and hormonal exchange. This metabolic change will make fine motor skills perishable and thus techniques become difficult to apply. By using our Raidfit scientific High Intensity Training exercises that focus on developing the nervous system and muscles of prescribed defence concepts we are able to physically place you in a physically stressful environment whilst blending the self defence concepts so that they become automatic and non-perishable.

We promote a healthy body to create a health mind and thus create a healthy safe living environment for all.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Level 2 Gym instructors or Personal Trainers that wish to teach a realistic and effective self defence system during an exercise class that builds and develops the nervous system, muscle adaption and capacity to achieve realistic defence concepts whilst developing health and fitness.

AIM AND PURPOSE OF THE COURSE

The aim of the course is to take those that are already instructors or PT’s in fitness and provides a blended learning environment so that realistic self-defence can be delivered through fitness classes.

The following will be delivered on the course:

  • E-Learning module and assignment.
  • Reality of the nervous system and defence concepts.
  • Exercise mythology and neuromuscular development.
  • Scenario replication drills.
  • Types and methods of exercise prescription.
  • Assessment and self defence progressions.
  • How to market the RAIDFIT program.

CERTIFICATION

Successful candidates will receive an Organisational Award equivalent at Level 2 entitled “RAIDFIT Practitioner”. You will only be eligible to deliver the RAIDFIT program and must agree to the licensee agreement.

PRIOR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

You are required to be REPS qualified as a Level 2 Gym Instructor or Personal Trainer. (insurance and first aid certification applies).
